Wilson Log HouseThree handcut hardwood log homes from Ohio and Kentucky were disassembled and reassembled on this northern Michigan lakeshore site in the 1980s. This project from 2002 is a remodel throughout and smokehouse (kitchen) addition to the ensemble of the three. Efforts to blend new and old with materials, fixtures, craftsmanship and landscape provide a compelling and comforting voice, in spite of the fact that the middle cottage was originally a tavern and probably the frame for many brawls and bawdy nights...Credits: Architect and Lighting Design: David T.
